WhatsApp Integration Overview

Kewbot is designed around WhatsApp Business API operations.

Main capabilities in Kewbot

  • Receive inbound customer messages
  • Send agent replies during the care window
  • Start outbound conversations with approved templates
  • Run template-based campaigns
  • Use interactive structures (for example, ITR-based routing)

Setup checklist

  1. Connect WhatsApp Business API account.
  2. Sync approved templates from Meta.
  3. Configure inbound routes.
  4. Create agent users and groups.
  5. Test outbound template delivery.

Policy-aware behavior

  • Outside the customer care window, agents must use approved templates to initiate/reopen contact.
  • Template quality, category, and approval are managed by Meta; Kewbot syncs and uses them.

Operational recommendations

  • Keep templates updated and tested.
  • Use consistent phone formatting in international format.
  • Map template buttons to clear destinations in Kewbot.
