Known Limitations

This page lists practical platform constraints to help teams plan deployment and operations.

Channel and policy limitations

  • WhatsApp policy controls outbound free-text initiation outside the customer care window.
  • Approved templates are required for compliant re-engagement.
  • Some interactive capabilities depend on WhatsApp API feature availability.

Voice/calling limitations

  • Voice calling support is partial and integration-dependent.
  • Behavior may differ across providers and account rollouts.
  • Asterisk interop can require extra compatibility work in some auth scenarios (for example, SHA-256-only combinations).

Operational limitations

  • Routing quality depends on correct inbound route and destination design.
  • Poorly maintained template mappings can reduce campaign performance.
  • Large campaign runs require data hygiene (phone formats, variable completeness).

Documentation status notes

  • Some legacy pages remain in older structure and may overlap in topic scope.
  • Supervisor dashboard deep-dive content is currently minimal in this repository.
  • Visual assets for new public pages are being completed.

Mitigation recommendations

  • Pilot first, then scale.
  • Standardize templates, tags, and routing patterns.
